The American Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) is effective for any renovations, major alterations and most new construction situations that commenced since January 26, 1992.

Enforcement of the Act rests with the United States Department of Justice. Compliance with the Telford Borough Building Code may not relieve you of your responsibility to comply with the ADAAG. The Borough's review of your submission will be based upon the adopted building code (2009 Int. Building Code as amended) but will not be pursuant to the ADAAG, which is responsibility of the applicant.
