Finance and Administrative Committee:

President Bill Ashley introduced Mr. Eric Kratz to the Board.

Mr. Kratz introduced himself and spoke to Council about his history living in the borough for most of his life, he indicated that he was interested in becoming a board member and would like the opportunity to serve the Borough.

After a brief discussion, it was a Taylor/Weiss motion carried unanimously (6-0) appointing Eric Kratz to fulfill the term vacated by Jeffrey Maxwell.

Eric Kratz was than sworn in by Mayor Jerry Guretse.

Emiline Weiss reported to Council that the finance committee has met several times to discuss the 2023 budget, the discussion of the meeting was to drop the mileage rate for the library and to put a line item in the budget for the borough contribution or reduce the mileage rate a ¼ percent added to the Borough General Fund.

John Taylor reported that he had been approached from several residents about the speeding and the parking along Spring House Lane and Village Green Lane. Mr. Taylor reported that the current speed limit is not posted but it appears that Spring House is 35 mph and if there is an ordinance in effect but not enforced that there is No Parking on the west side of Spring House Lane from Reliance Road to Telford Hills Condominium. Mr. Taylor indicated that we need to enforce laws already in place with further discussions with the Chief of Police.

After a lengthy discussion, it was the consensus of Council to defer this discussion to the Chief of Police.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 pm by a Crouthamel/Kulhanjian motion.

 Respectfully submitted,

Diane Windfelder
